Wreck of the Arrow, stern

Wreck of the Arrow, stern

One of the most spectacular wreck of the north Atlantic.

When the Arrow hit Cerberous rock in the northern part of Chedabucto Bay in February 1970 the ship broke into 2 parts. The stern drifted about 400 meters toward north. This biggest part of the wreck is today straight on the ground in max. 27 meters of depth. The most shallowest part is only 7 meter deep. It's a perfect culisse for all, divers and fotografers- for all levels of divers. There is mostly no current.

Down to a deapth of 12 meters the wreck is fully grown with kelp. Going deeper divers will see big lobsters, wulfeels, thousands of cunners, Searavens and sculpins. From time to time sunfish comes along and with some luck those strange creatures can be seen during a dive.

Depending on the weather we do mostly 2 dives here. It's also possible to do the 2nd dive at the near by "Cerberus Rock".

Very oftern curous seals comes to see what divers are doing here.

This dive site is only 35 minutes boat drive from our wharf with our Cape Islander boat.
